As an AHPRA registered nurse and educator I’ve helped hundreds of new parents and carers gain skills that have already saved numerous little lives since BabyEd launched in mid-2019. A calm and relaxed approach makes learning an enjoyable, interactive experience where you will learn skills that you are guaranteed to need on your parenting journey; as well as skills necessary for true emergency situations.
I’m Abbey, a registered nurse from country NSW and the founder of BabyEd Australia. I’m a keen musician, an avid snow skier and a water baby through and through; however, my greatest passion lies in education and empowering others in simple, everyday language. With 15+ years experience under my belt working globally with children, as well as seven years of university and time spent as a casual academic, I set out to make the path to parenthood a less anxiety-provoking experience for all.

I was lucky enough to attend a BabyEd first aid class recently organized by the mother's group I am a part of. The class was fantastic - very informative and easy to understand but with appropriate in-depth information. I was incredibly glad I took this class when I did, as less than a week after taking the class my 8-month-old daughter choked on a small piece of cardboard. It was the single most terrifying moment of my life. Having just taken the course I was able to manage the situation and dislodge what was in my daughter's throat! I have never felt so relieved and grateful in my entire life. Thank you so much for BabyEd for giving me the skills necessary to keep my baby safe and well!
